Baseball Game Preview: Kerman Lions vs. Justin Garza Guardians

The Kerman Lions will square off against the Justin Garza Guardians at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Kerman will be strutting in after a victory while Justin Garza will be coming in after a loss.

Kerman headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for four straight, but Carson let them put that streak behind them. The Lions blew past the Colts 10-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Giovanni Gastelum, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Daniel Lanfranco was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.

Meanwhile, Justin Garza came up short against Liberty on Wednesday, falling 9-1. The Guardians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Justin Garza saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cain Soria, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

With the win, Kerman broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-6-1. As for Justin Garza, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Kerman took their victory against Justin Garza in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
