Basketball Recap: Pitt County P's Win Ends 11-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eastern Christian HomeSchool, Pitt County P was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They slipped by the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors 34-33.

Pitt County P's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Pike, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Coghill, who earned nine points.

Jacksonville Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CJ Mendoza, who had ten points. Kellen Evans was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Pitt County P's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Pitt County P will head out to challenge Goldsboro HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Pitt County P is facing Goldsboro HomeSchool at the right time seeing as Goldsboro HomeSchool is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they will square off against Pamlico Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pamlico Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Jacksonville Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
