Soccer Game Preview: North Monterey County vs. Monte Vista Christian

The North Monterey County Condors will head out to face off against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Monday just wasn't the day for North Monterey County's offense. They fell 2-0 to Carmel last Monday. The Condors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 5-1 to Carmel. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Mustangs it sure didn't stay that way.

North Monterey County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Monte Vista Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13-3.

Everything went North Monterey County's way against Monte Vista Christian in their previous matchup back in January, as North Monterey County made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Monterey County since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
