Softball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Travelers Rest Devildogs

The Daniel Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Travelers Rest Devildogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Daniel turned things around against Berea on Friday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 7-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Travelers Rest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on April 2nd. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Greer on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Devildogs have posted since April 15, 2025.

Iris Cisson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

Daniel's record is now 4-17. As for Travelers Rest, their record now sits at 8-9.

Daniel suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Travelers Rest in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
