Baseball Recap: Fairfield Prep Find Success

Fairfield Prep's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Sheehan Titans. The win continues a trend for the Jesuits in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Fairfield Prep got a great performance from Reid Stanton as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave Stanton a new career-high.

At the plate, Jack Nolan was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vinny Lombardo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Fairfield Prep's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Sheehan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Fairfield Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sheehan: the pair will be back at it again later today.
