Basketball Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Medford Cardinals, falling 56-14. While losing is never fun, the Elks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Cardinals are ranked 99th).

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Medford, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Burlington has already played their next contest, a 43-41 defeat against Ringwood on the 24th. As for Medford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-25 victory against Kremlin-Hillsdale on the 24th.
