Basketball Game Preview: Exeter Monarchs vs. Reedley Pirates

Exeter and Reedley are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Exeter Monarchs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Reedley Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Exeter will be strutting in after a win while Reedley will be coming in after a defeat.

Exeter will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Washington Union, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Exeter put the hurt on Washington Union with a sharp 68-46 victory on Wednesday. Given the Monarchs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Panthers are ranked 1252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Reedley lost 70-50 to Immanuel on Wednesday. The Pirates have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Exeter's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Reedley, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
