Softball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Bellaire Cardinals. If the Texans were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Margot Royston was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bellaire, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-11.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Bellaire will both be playing Houston Math Science & Tech the next time they take the field. Lamar will head out to face Houston Math Science & Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Bellaire will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
