Basketball Recap: Commerce Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Commerce can bid farewell to their 17-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past the Westfield Bombers with points to spare, taking the game 67-48. This was payback for the Red Raiders, who suffered a 57-41 loss the last time these two teams met.

Commerce's win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6. As for Westfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Commerce will take on Minnechaug Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westfield, they will welcome Chicopee Comp at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chicopee Comp knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Westfield likes a good challenge.
