Softball Recap: White Plains Victorious

While White Plains's victory against Ketcham wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Indians on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since May 18, 2025.

Alexis Tighe made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Tighe wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Noelle Quinones, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

White Plains kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive matchups.

White Plains' record is now 14-3. As for Ketcham, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.
