Volleyball Game Preview: Gautier Gators vs. Hancock Hawks

Gautier hasn't had much luck against Hancock recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Gators will square off against the Hawks. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Gautier is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against West Jones as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Gautier walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Hancock made easy work of Jim Hill on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hancock was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-11, 25-6.

Gautier's victory bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Hancock, their win bumped their record up to 27-8.

Gautier might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Hancock in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
