Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors 14-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Rams have posted since March 25, 2024.

Ty Monteith made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Monteith was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jax Miller, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Mason Yarbrough was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lee-Scott Academy onlymanaged six hits.

Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-4 victory against Westminster School at Oak Mountain on the 15th. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-1 defeat against Enterprise on the 14th.
