Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Harrison Central

Harrison Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sandy Valley Cardinals a 3-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Mikayla Pelegreen's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks.

Harrison Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sandy Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1.

Coincidentally, Harrison Central and Sandy Valley will both be playing Cambridge the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Bobcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
