Basketball Game Preview: South Vermillion Wildcats vs. Fountain Central Mustangs

The South Vermillion Wildcats will face off against the Fountain Central Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Vermillion comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

South Vermillion is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 60-36 to Riverton Parke on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Fountain Central's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to Parke Heritage on the road by a 43-29 margin.

South Vermillion will have to contain Kaylee Spragg as she made an impact in Fountain Central's last game. She posted nine points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Spragg has posted since back in November of 2024.

South Vermillion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Fountain Central, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 16-4.

South Vermillion took a serious blow against Fountain Central when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 49-7. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fountain Central's Brailey Hoagland, who put up 11 points along with eight boards and eight steals.
