Preble Shawnee had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 35-18 victory over the Madison Mohawks. The Arrows' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Brody Morton went supernova, rushing for 88 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while also throwing for 119 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble, made eight total tackles, and defended one pass. Preble Shawnee's leading receiver Caleb Blankenship was Morton's top target yet again, picking up 104 receiving yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Preble Shawnee will take on Ansonia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Arrows their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Madison, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Madeira at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
