Volleyball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Comes Up Short

Jordan-Matthews and Southwestern Randolph squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Jordan-Matthews had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Jets just can't catch a break and have now endured 14 losses in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-5.

Southwestern Randolph had a senior duo take command as Hailey Kennedy had 27 assists and five aces and Madilyn Baker had 11 digs and two aces. Baker has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Jordan-Matthews' defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Southwestern Randolph, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Jordan-Matthews does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwestern Randolph, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Anson on the 21st.
