Basketball Recap: Highlands Takes a Loss

Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 67-46 to the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1448th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 717th).

Darren Sacher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Yavneh Academy, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 11 boards. The game was Sacher's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendy Eber, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds.

Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Yavneh Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Highlands has already played their next contest (against Chisholm Trail Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Yavneh Academy also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against DasCHE.
