Volleyball Recap: Reagan Rattlers vs. Canyon Cougars

Reagan was the 3-2 winner over Canyon when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rattlers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Reagan sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 27-29, 25-17.

Piper Hoskins was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs. Those ten digs gave her a new career-high. Logan Sanders also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Reagan will head out to take on Long Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canyon, they will play host again on Saturday to welcome Round Rock, where the match is scheduled at 12:00 p.m.
