Bryce Monte gave up the fewest walks he has since back in March of 2024 on Wednesday. He did his part (and then some), striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk) for the 'W'. He has become a key player for San Ramon Valley: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5 otherwise.

Monte's strong effort led San Ramon Valley over Dougherty Valley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
