Soccer Recap: Eastwood Comes Up Short

Eastwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Montwood Rams, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Troopers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Rams are ranked 43rd).

Eastwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Montwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season.

Eastwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montwood, they will challenge Socorro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Socorro's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
