Volleyball Recap: Desert Mountain Takes a Loss

Desert Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastlake Titans.

Ava Archibald paced Desert Mountain's offense, picking up ten kills. Archibald got some help from Isabella Mitchell and her 17 assists. Lauren Gustafson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Desert Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Eastlake, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Desert Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Campo Verde on the 26th. As for Eastlake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Arvada West on the 27th.
