Volleyball Game Preview: Groton Tigers vs. Mobridge-Pollock Tigers + How To Watch

Groton will take on Mobridge-Pollock at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Groton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Northwestern Area, who was ranked seventh at the time (Groton was ranked 25th). The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Saturday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Mobridge-Pollock suffered their biggest loss since September 13th on Saturday. They came up short against Winner, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-16.

Groton's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Mobridge-Pollock, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Groton came out on top in a nail-biter against Mobridge-Pollock when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will Groton repeat their success, or does Mobridge-Pollock has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
