Meanwhile, Wilkes Central fell victim to Forbush and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 19-0 to the Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost nine in a row.

Wilkes Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for West Wilkes, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

West Wilkes took their victory against Wilkes Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
