Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Bluff Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cherokee Bluff walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Sandy Creek Patriots on Wednesday.

Cherokee Bluff took Sandy Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-8, 18-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Cherokee Bluff is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-13 record this season. As for Sandy Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-18.

Coming up, Cherokee Bluff will challenge Mary Persons on Saturday. Sandy Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
