Baseball Recap: Ridgeline Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ridgeline had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Rigby Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Riverhawks, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Cael Kidman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brady Cook was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Ripken Jensen, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Rigby, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Ridgeline will head out on the road to face off against Lehi at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rigby, they will host Century at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
