Soccer Game Preview: George Washington vs. Tunstall

The George Washington Eagles will head out to square off against the Tunstall Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. George Washington's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

George Washington managed to slip by Martinsville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Bulldogs last Thursday, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as George Washington were already down 4-0.

Meanwhile, Tunstall scored the most goals they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Halifax County by a score of 4-3. Tunstall have struggled against Halifax County recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

George Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Tunstall, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-6-1.

George Washington beat Tunstall 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
