Basketball Recap: Carver Vo-Tech Comes Up Short

Carver Vo-Tech won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were beaten by the Dunbar Poets 70-40. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Carver Vo-Tech saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyjuan Savage went 6 of 8 on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Devaughn Bundy, who posted ten points.

Carver Vo-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Dunbar, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Carver Vo-Tech will welcome Digital Harbor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dunbar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-53 win against Milford Mill Academy on the 1st.
