Baseball Recap: Sunset Takes a Loss

Sunset was the 3-2 winner over Molina when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bison fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Edwin Chavez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Sunset's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Molina, they pushed their record up to 10-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Sunset will challenge South Oak Cliff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bison's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Molina, they will welcome White at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
