 Bethany was the  9-5 winner over Cornerstone Charter when they last played one another  back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bethany Wolves fell just short of the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals by a score of  10-9 on Tuesday. Bethany has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Jacob Schick was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.  Landen Long was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Bethany  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 12  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cornerstone Charter only tossed seven.
 On Cornerstone Charter's side, their victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Dylan Anderson, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 Bethany's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Cornerstone Charter, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
 Bethany will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Cornerstone Charter at 5:00  p.m. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Southeast Guilford at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Cornerstone Charter's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Southeast Guilford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
