Softball Game Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Symmes Valley Vikings

Eastern has won six straight games at home, while Symmes Valley has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Eagles will welcome the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Eastern's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Oak Hill with a sharp 21-0 win.

Eastern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .614. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Hill only posted an OBP of .263.

Meanwhile, Symmes Valley's hitters rose to the challenge against a Tomcats pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.55 runs allowed on Thursday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Blazer. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly ten runs.

Symmes Valley's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 15-2-1.
