Football Game Preview: Wall Eagles vs. Philip Scotties

Wall is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Philip is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will take on the Scotties at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wall's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Wall is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 41-0 victory over Castlewood. Give the Eagles' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Wall relied on the efforts of Tanner Volmer, who rushed for 148 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries, and Jace Mohr, who gained 100 total yards and three touchdowns. Mohr is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Philip faced Ipswich in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Scotties came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 14-6.

Wall's record is now 10-0. As for Philip, their record now sits at 8-1.

Everything came up roses for Wall against Philip in their previous matchup back in August, as the team secured a 54-6 win. In that contest, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 48-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
