After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Homer-Center, United was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over the River Valley Panthers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Brendan James made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. James was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
