Volleyball Recap: Tipton Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Tipton Christian Academy lost against Trinity Christian Academy back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Lions. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tipton Christian Academy was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Tipton Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maggie Elder had nine digs and four aces. Elder is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Abby Ward also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Jenna Joyce was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and two aces.

Tipton Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7.

Tipton Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Tipton-Rosemark Academy on the 18th. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Jackson Christian on the 22nd.
