Preview: Somerset Academy Panthers vs. Norland Vikings

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Somerset Academy can now relate to. They took a hard 70-56 fall against the Mavericks on Thursday.
Somerset Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Jahlon Blain, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Alcine, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Norland beat Archbishop McCarthy 68-59 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Norland.
Marcus Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Norland's points. Triston Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists.
Somerset Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Norland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Somerset Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 80-65 loss to Norland in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Somerset Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
