Soccer Game Preview: White River vs. Beamer

The White River Hornets will take on the Beamer Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

White River fell victim to Decatur and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Golden Gators by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that White River have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Beamer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Auburn Mountainview. While losing is never fun, Beamer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Auburn Mountainview are ranked 48th).

Beamer's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for White River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Everything went White River's way against Beamer in their previous meeting back in March, as White River made off with an 8-0 victory. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
