Highland Baptist Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 18-10 to the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights. Even though they lost, the Bears' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Faith Cormier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Basyn Boudoin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Highland Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Highland Baptist Christian will challenge Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. Elizabeth has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.5 runs per game on average), something Lafayette Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
