Basketball Recap: Tri-Point Comes Up Short

Tri-Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 36th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine and fell 61-18.

Tri-Point's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Point will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Flanagan-Cornell at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine will take on South Vermillion in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. South Vermillion has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three matchups.
