Baseball Recap: Mountain House Comes Up Short

Mountain House's last matchup with Dublin could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Saturday. Mountain House lost 8-1 to Dublin. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured nine defeats in a row.

Keenan Hardy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Mountain House's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Dublin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain House will take on Manteca at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Manteca's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Mountain House's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dublin, they will challenge De La Salle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
