Baseball Recap: Alhambra Starts off Right with Win over Temple City

Alhambra took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Temple City Rams as the Alhambra Moors made off with an 8-1 win. The Moors have beaten the Rams the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rams has come to flipping the script.

Marc Hernandez was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he also posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Jacob Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alhambra is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against South Pasadena at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Temple City, they will take on San Fernando at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Temple City is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
