Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland lost against Westbrook back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Highland Hornets took a 42-24 bruising from the Westbrook Wildcats. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westbrook's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grayson Jeffrey, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Browne, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Westbrook, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Highland will face off against Hermleigh at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westbrook, they will square off against Loraine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westbrook is facing Loraine at the right time seeing as Loraine is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
