Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Bayfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prentice Buccaneers on Saturday. The Trollers' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Several Trollers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quintin Bresette, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 17 boards. Bresette is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Maxwell Gordon was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Bayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Prentice, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Bayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prentice, they have already played their next game, a 44-41 loss against Rib Lake on the 13th.
