Softball Recap: Burns Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lakeview last Friday, Burns came back down to earth. The Hilanders lost 8-1 to the Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Hilanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Baker/Powder Valley, their record now sits at 4-6.

Looking ahead, Burns will take on McLoughlin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baker/Powder Valley, they will challenge Pendleton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buckaroos' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
