Clinton entered their tilt with Madison Central on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Jaguars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Thursday.
Annalise Whitworth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Makenzie Cooley was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was EstrElla Constancio, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Clinton's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Madison Central, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-8.
