Volleyball Recap: Triopia Gets the Win

Triopia had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays.

Several Bluejays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaycee Gusemann, who had nine digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Boensel, who had eight assists and four digs.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triopia will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Calvary at 7:00 p.m. on October 6. As for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central, they will welcome New Berlin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Bluejays their first taste of in-conference action this season.
