Baseball Recap: Fallbrook Takes a Loss

Fallbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westview Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-7 last Tuesday.

Fallbrook saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Calderon, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Tyler Tanner also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Fallbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Westview, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Coming up, Fallbrook will host Mar Vista at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Westview, they are taking a road trip to take on Mission Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
