Football Game Preview: Linden Tigers vs. Montgomery Cougars

The Linden Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Montgomery Cougars on Friday.

On Friday, Linden came up short against Woodbridge and fell 27-20. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Barrons: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montgomery). They breezed past Watchung Hills Regional to the tune of 36-7 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Linden's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Montgomery, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Linden came out on top in a nail-biter against Montgomery when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 13-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
