Football Recap: Jesuit Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Jesuit kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Woodcreek Timberwolves, falling 38-13. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Timberwolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2018.

Although Jesuit took the loss, they still got scores from Kwanna Smith and Rocco Lucchetti.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodcreek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Hastings, who rushed for 86 yards and one score. Those 86 rushing yards gave Hastings a new career-high. Josiah Melendez was another key player, rushing for 50 yards and one touchdown.

Jesuit didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-0 win against Rio Americano on the 29th. As for Woodcreek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 37-20 victory against Whitney on the 29th.
