Volleyball Recap: Seven Straight Road Wins for Truckee

Truckee won the last time they faced Sparks and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Railroaders with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-11.

Aurora Derrick paced Truckee's offense, picking up 13 kills. Derrick got some help from Makenna Hogland and her 33 assists. Hogland also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madison Mclellan, each putting up five.

Truckee pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Sparks, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Truckee will challenge rival Wooster at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sparks is set to square off against their familiar foe Incline at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
