Shafter and Kennedy are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but not for long. The Shafter Generals will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Kennedy Thunderbirds at 6:15 p.m. Shafter will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Last Tuesday, Shafter got the win against Delano by a conclusive 3-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-20.
Emily Pugh was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and two aces. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in aces.
Shafter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Kennedy earned a 3-1 victory over McFarland on Thursday.
