Soccer Game Preview: King vs. Centennial

The King Wolves and the Centennial Huskies will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. King's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for King's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santiago on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 406th, while the Sharks are ranked 131st).

Meanwhile, Centennial has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 27. They fell 4-2 to Corona on Tuesday.

King now has a losing record at 5-6-4. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-3.

King came out on top in a nail-biter against Centennial in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Does King have another victory up their sleeve, or will Centennial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
